Why I Write: Embracing the Art of Words

Daylight shines on the writers hands when its intimate glow simmers on the skin. The moonlight too grazes the hand of the re-writer letting its luminous path light the way.

Often I ask myself why I write. I write because I am happy, angry, or sad. All those moments of life fascinate me. My imagination goes wild with intrigue. I feel the most alive when I allow words to twist and turn. They take me on what seems to be a remarkable adventure. Its art they say, writing that is. At least it can be or a boring muse that delights the eyes in someone’s secret journal.

It’s when my imagination comes alive that my writing does too. I’ll become compelled in a crazed dash to jot down my sudden thoughts. It is in those arranged collection of words that my mind is stimulated and my goal determined. What then shall writing without art? For art is all imagination personified projected into a medium of one’s choosing. And I choose writing as my venue. When searching for a means to an end, I aim to share my muse. My ultimate goal is to express myself as a writer.

Even in the mist of uncertain words, each letter swells. It becomes part of a fantastic play to convey emotion. Writing presents new and innovative ways to convey a message to others too. Reaching out to the human species through the art of writing is unique and profound. It is a meaningful undertaking. Writing is just talking. Hence, I prefer Talking with purpose as the most desired state.

Being a writer is something I am and I love it. Life should be filled with doing what we want and love. This is for the greater good of ourselves and society. Love makes everything grow. So with a dash of love in anything we do, success will become a permanent fixture. It will be embedded in that activity. When I think of my life and the life of others, I am happy to see a unified story. It’s the story of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

” Who wants to become a writer? And why? Because it’s the answer to everything. … It’s the streaming reason for living. To note, to pin down, to build up, to create, to be astonished at nothing, to cherish the oddities, to let nothing go down the drain, to make something, to make a great flower out of life, even if it’s a cactus. “Enid Bagnold
