Tribute to Gene Wilder Dead at 83

This post is a tribute to Gene Wilder an American actor,director,screenwriter, author, and phenomenal comedian. Wilder is well known  for his appearance in films such as “Young Frankenstein” and “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.”

The most memorable classic role Gene Wilder played  was as a mysterious candy tycoon in the 1971 film, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” The 1971 film originally is an adaptation of  of Roald Dahl’s book. In the Film Gene Wilder (Willy Wonka) hosts a guest of children who (without them knowing) are auditioning to take over his work leading the factory.

The film, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory throughout  features a musical abeyance with a comical flare yet, also invokes moral value driven themes.

It is fitting then in one particular scene Gene Wilder sings as Willy Wonka about our own wonderful human imagination. In his innovative and captivating factory chambers Willy Wonka drifts into song praising the vitality of embracing one’s imagination to reach new extraordinary experiences.

The scene is exceptionally intriguing because it is a moment that praises imagination over reason and gives explanation into the extraordinary establishment the character, Wonka was able to resurrect and now introduce.
