How Small Gestures Create Big Changes

Looking at the world, it can appear so gloomy. The hatred, mistreatment, war blood, abuse, homelessness, and debt make it so. Yet, I still look deeper. I look deep within my heart. I search deep down within the innermost part of my soul. There, I catch that glimmer of hope.

My hope ignites with fervor when I see a boy helping an elderly person cross the road. A woman offers food to those stricken in poverty. A person takes five minutes of their time to keep a homeless or elderly person company. These individuals are usually lonely. This is where hope catches me. Witnessing these loving and compassionate acts inspires me. They give me new ideas and a new way of thinking and feeling.
