Quiet Reflections

It's quiet, and I think of you leaving me as quickly as you found me.
Alone I am now.

We flourished once in days of sunshine and warmth. Together we were as one, gently embracing, compassionately intertwined in our beauty, majestically inseparable.

Suddenly darkness fell quickly; the days of sunshine grew dim, and the warmth transformed to coldness.

I held on to you tightly, but the forceful winds snatched you beyond my grasp.

I am alone now. With empty words and sullen thoughts yet, it's quiet, and I think of you. ©
